Couplings feature the following characteristics:
High torque transmission capacity. Under reverse torque conditions, most have a smaller rotating diameter than gear couplings, with compact size and light weight. They can partially replace gear couplings. Compared with gear couplings, they feature simpler structure, fewer components, easier manufacturing, and no need for gear processing machines.

Easy maintenance and long service life. Nylon pins can be replaced simply by removing the baffle plate. As self-lubricating material, nylon pins require no lubrication, which not only saves lubricating oil but also keeps the working environment clean.

The disadvantages are relatively poor vibration damping performance and relatively high noise. However, due to low cost and competitive price, they are widely used in conveying machinery and metallurgical machinery.
