The large head end is welded to the shaft tube, the length of which determines the overall length of the drive shaft.
Internal splines are machined on the small head end, which form a spline pair with external splines to enable axial telescopic sliding.
Under normal conditions, the spline section is coated with blue or colorless nylon, which serves to reduce vibration, resist wear and prevent corrosion simultaneously.
The structure with a grease nipple hole is exclusively designed for rail vehicles.
